Marcella Watkins represents clients in matters related to patents, trademarks and copyrights, with a focus on patents and patent strategy. Marcella has more than twenty-five years of experience protecting intellectual property, including ten years in the IP department of an international oil company. Her areas of practice have included seismic exploration, downhole tools, biofuels, and medical devices.

Marcella is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is registered before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has taught patent prosecution at the University of Houston Law Center and is a past president of the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and the Houston IP Inn of Court.
