Ian McNeill

Commercial Litigation and OSHA Defense

Ian McNeill is a native Houstonian who has been practicing law since 2003. Ian began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. After prosecuting a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, Ian transitioned into civil litigation in 2007.

Since then, Ian has litigated a broad range of commercial matters including contract disputes, employment matters, trade secret misappropriation cases, and fraud cases. In any litigation matter, Ian makes it a priority to know his client’s business and objectives and he works closely with his clients to accomplish their goals.

Ian also defends employers across the United States in OSHA health and safety inspections as well as whistleblower complaints. He has broad experience in OSHA inspections ranging from plant explosions and chemical releases to more routine cases. Many times, OSHA matters intersect with personal injury litigation, and in those cases, Ian helps his clients navigate OSHA inspections and internal investigations in a way that preserves key privileges in anticipation of personal injury litigation.

Ian is a devoted husband and father of two wonderful kids. When not practicing law, he can be found engaging in any number of family activities. Ian also loves the rugged beauty and tranquility of Big Bend National Park and will never miss an opportunity to spend time there.
