Chance Hardie has been a practicing intellectual property attorney since 2003. He started his career in Houston at a firm dedicated to IP matters. His experience also includes over 12 years as in-house IP counsel with an international oil company where he initiated and prosecuted patent portfolios for various business units, performed IP due diligence and handled IP transactional matters for successful technology out-licensing.

Chance represents clients in matters with a focus on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution. His expertise further includes IP strategy, litigation support and transactional work. He has represented clients in many technical areas including downhole tools, upstream and downstream oil/gas processes and technologies, battery compositions, chemicals, optical components, computer hardware, consumer products and medical devices.
